What is Mock Trial?

Mock Trial is a competitive activity which combines elements of speech, debate, and theater in a simulated courtroom trial. Competitors act as attorneys and witnesses, collaborating as a team to prepare examinations and statements for both sides of a fictional case. Each year, teams compete in 32 regional tournaments against other universities for a chance to qualify for nationals. Intercollegiate mock trial competition is governed by the American Mock Trial Association.

Our Mission.

Our mission is to foster public speaking and trial advocacy skills in our members, as well as to educate them about the American legal system. We put these skills to the test by competing against other colleges and universities around the nation, bringing home wins for the Hawks. Along the way, our members develop strong connections to their teammates, coaches, campus, and fellow competitors.
